Using A Light Microscope

Please describe this experiment in your own words!

Equipment:

  • Microscope
  • Prepared slide

Method:

  1. Adjust the microscope lens to the lowest power.
  2. Look down the eyepiece and adjust the mirror until a bright light can be seen.
  3. Place the prepared slide onto the stage.
  4. Move the coarse focus knob in the opposite direction to view the object clearly.
  5. Rotate the nosespiece so that the high-power objective lens is in place.
  6. Use the fine focus to produce a clear image.
