Advantages
- Very high load bearing capacity.
- Fire-proof.
- Good sound insulators.
- No waiting for concrete to set, work can begin immediately.
- Quality of the concrete is guaranteed.
Disadvantages
- Very expensive.
- Only standard sizes available which may not suit.
In-situ cast
Advantages
- Not as expensive.
- Can be made to any shape and size.
Disadvantages
- Quality is not guaranteed.
- Time is needed to let the concrete set.
